No English summer would be complete without the sounds of leather on willow, generous applause rippling across a sunlit cricket pitch or the contented sigh of a cricket enthusiast enjoying their game.
Well, you don’t need to stray far to find it, come and discover Chappel and Wakes Colne Cricket Club based in Inworth Lane, Wakes Colne.
The Club has two adult Saturday league teams, a Sunday friendly team and very active Ladies and Junior teams.
The club also holds various other events across the summer so keep your eyes peeled.
CWCCC are always on the lookout for new players of all ages and abilities to fill the ranks, they encourage younger players to sign up to the ECB All Stars programmes from 5 years old or to play Kwik cricket from age 7 and up, then progress into one of the three junior age groups ranging 10-16 years old.
The club is proud to have 5 level 2 ECB coaches which mean support is always available.
Club players train at the ground from 6-8pm between May and September (weather permitting)
